Microsoft, China's Vimicro Extend Collaboration in Mobile Multimedia

Microsoft and China-based Vimicro have signed a memorandum of understanding on May 24 in Beijing to extend the scope of their existing partnership in digital multimedia to include mobile and home appliance multimedia. The two companies' collaboration will continue to operate via the Microsoft-Vimicro Multimedia Technology Center, set up in 2003 at Vimicro's Beijing premises. The center will continue to work on the compatibility of Vimicro's multimedia processors with Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system.
